URGENT! Save Reese, Gentle Girl in Jersey
Tuesday, January 12th, 2010“Please help Reese, the pittie that was drug by a truck in June. We have had NO serious interest in her adoption, and she recently began to deteriorate in her kennel, so time is now of the essence. While she has been with us she has completed an obedience course with a trainer and has made so much progress, but we need to get her into a home ASAP. I know she can do it- we just need to find the right person. If you can do any cross-posting, etc. I would be so apprecaitive. Thank you so much… Maria Stoerrle
Please help us find Reese a home- despite media attention, no one has come forth seriously offering our girl her chance… thank you…
In June, Reese was tied to the back of a truck and drug down Vineland’s streets until the jump-rope she was tied to snapped, allowing her to crawl to someone’s front porch, where she was found in critical condition, covered in burns. After months of surgeries and rehabilitation, she is finally physically recovered. Reese has been living in a kennel since June and it is critical that she begins to “live life as a dog” ASAP. Reese has some trusting issues after her abuse, but we believe that taking the stress of kennel life out of the equation will help enormously. Her new owner should be a confident leader and committed to her continued training- she has already completed and excelled at an obedience course during her stay with us. Reese should not be placed with cats or children. We would prefer to place Reese in a home with no other dogs, but she may be compatable with another dog as long as the owner is multi-dog savvy!
Reese has an incredible zest for life (she must have, to even have survived) but it is dimming the longer she is kept kenneled. She wants and deserves a home. Once you get to know her, she is a wonderful, beautiful dog. Nothing makes her happier than her green squeekie monster and a chance to do the “Reese Roll” outside in the grass- expect being on the receiving end of affection. She will be forever marked by her past, but if you are willing to look past her scars and give her a chance- you will see the shining personality and beautiful dog that we have seen during her time with us at the SPCA.
Please contact Maria at CCSPCA_Foster@yahoo.com with any questions.

My main goal in life is to be unconditionally happy. My every action and consequently non-action, is governed by this rule. This causes people to judge me… sometimes fairly, most times not.

Eh whatever, all of the cool kids are doing it, and I have been in such a megabitch mood lately I figured why not lighten the mood. So here goes, 10 random things that you could care less about
This is an old post that somehow got lost on my hard drive and never made it to my blog. In transferring some files, I found it and decided it should be published. I hope that everyone reads it, and takes a second look at pit bulls. Warning: Graphic descriptions

Her prognosis is very
good, and her spirit is very strong and she wagged her tail the whole time they were putting on the temporary braces. They are teaching her to walk with her new “pink socks” until her surgery can be scheduled, so she can get used to the braces she will have for 6 weeks. They anticipate a full recovery. They are charging us between 800.00 and 1000.00 and that will include her surgery, board and therapy, they
