Fuck Malik Nadal Hasan, Remember The Victims
November 8th, 2009 by *Scarlett
I am getting really sick of the news talking about the Fort Hood shooter’s life instead of talking about the people who lost theirs. As someone whose family is intricatley interwoven in the military it disgusts me that CNN spent an hour on the boo hoo, wah wah poor me life of Malik Nadal Hasan. What the fuck ? It sickens me that instead of focusing on the people who were affected by this tragedy, CNN’s Don Lemon basically blamed the Army for “failing equal opportunity policies”. Are you serious?! That douche bag walked into a military base wearing traditional muslim attire, and no one batted an eye, as a matter of fact they even mistook the shooter instead of singling out the dude rocking the muslim garb. That in itself is a testament to the diversity of the troops, how dare you blame the victims? How dare you play clips from the New York based terrorist group congratulating Hasan? Wouldn’t that time have better been spent trying to unite Americans and garner support, contributions, etc for a community that is shattered? They fought for you, can’t you do the same for them? Plastering a terrorists face all over the news but ignoring the victims, the people who ensure your rights? Shame on you, media! I will never feel sorry for him so stop trying to paint a sad picture. He’s scum and it’s a damn shame that he lived!
What the special should have been about was honoring Lt. Col. Juanita L. Warman, Havre De Grace, Maryland, Maj. Libardo Eduardo Caraveo, Woodbridge, Virginia, Capt. Russell Seager, Racine, Wisconsin, Capt. John Gaffaney, San Diego, California, Army Staff Sgt. Justin DeCrow, Plymouth, Indiana, Chief Warrant Officer Michael Grant Cahill (Ret.), Cameron, Texas, Spc. Jason Dean Hunt, Tipton, Oklahoma, Sgt. Amy Krueger, Kiel, Wisconsin, Pfc. Aaron Thomas Nemelka, West Jordan, Utah, Pfc. Michael Pearson, Bolingbrook, Illinois, Pvt. Francheska Velez, Chicago, Illinois, Spc. Kham Xiong, St. Paul, Minnesota, Spc. Frederick Greene, Mountain City, Tennessee and all of those who were injured, responded to and ended the massacre. Those people and their families are who we should be focusing on, not giving Jihaddist’s another hero to worship. Put the focus where it belongs!! 1 hour on a terrorist, 5 minutes on the victims? That hardly seems right. Pvt. Francheska Velez was 3 months pregnant, Spc. Jason Dean Hunt had only been married for 2 months, each of these people had their whole lives ahead of them, each of these people made a choice to serve, protect and defend. Each of these people deserve more than the 5 minute collage given to them. They were sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers… they were somebody’s someone. Do the right thing here, CNN, do the right thing.
